For visitors with time to spare, we recommend ending your Botswana safari/holiday in the Chobe area and spending a day or two in Livingstone, Zambia. Transfers from Kasane to Livingstone take approximately 1.5 hours, depending on the traffic on the Kazangula ferry (although a new bridge is currently being planned). There are daily flights with Nationwide Airlines from Livingstone back to Johannesburg and these flights are extremely competitively priced compared to the cost of flights into Botswana from South Africa,

There are several magnificent places to stay in Livingstone and the area around it. Livingstone also offers a spectacular view of the Eastern Cataract of the Victoria Falls and there are several exciting activities available in Livingstone - from elephant ride safaris, to hot air ballooning to river cruises on the mighty Zambezi River.
